PT Facilities Access Controller

Description:

Will work approximately 14-18 hours a week.  12-months a year.  Hours vary between Academic year and Summer months.  Nights and weekends are required.

Must pass detailed background check.

Responsible for performance of facility entry control desk duties in the Athletic Wellness Center, Graber Center and/or Fieldhouse.  Receives and screens telephone calls and visitors and provides directions as required.  Ensures facility is secure during operations.  Ensures only members are allowed to use facility.  Monitors entry to facility during special events.

Duties:

*Receives and screens telephone calls.  Answers routine questions or directs them to appropriate personnel.  Records and relays messages.  Provides directions to customers as needed.

*Monitors members' use of facility.

*Oversees daily operations of the facility.

*Ensures authorized personnel are allowed access to facility during special events.

*Uses computerized system to operate the facility, as required.

*Processes checks as required for new members using the facility.

*Assists and supports Athletic personnel as required.

*Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.

*Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.

*Completes special projects as assigned.

*Calls and inquiries are courteously and professionally handled or referred.  Professional relations exist with all contacts.

*Facility access is controlled with no unauthorized use of facilities.

*Good working relations exist with College personnel and management and assistance is provided as needed.  Management is appropriately informed.

*Supports the mission and vision of the College and respects the College's Catholic tradition.

*Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.

One to two years related experience.

Basic understanding of customer service and entry access functions.  Knowledge of related computer applications.  Strong customer service abilities.  Excellent phone skills.  Good communication and public relations skills.  Well organized and attentive to detail.  Willing to cooperate with and assist others.  Able to use PC and telephone systems.
